Yes I do believe it is worth that much. I recommend either that or the stage crash. The stage crash really cuts through loud music but if your looking for a nice tone I recommend the Studio.

The one on the left of me is the 17″(closest to hi-hats) and the other one is the 16″. I have the medium thin but I also suggest testing a regular medium or a stage. There really nice!
