Gopher Snake
Gopher Snake A Pituophis melanoleucus, a common western snake crawls between a rock and a hard place. The markings of this snake make it easy to mistake it for a rattlesnake, but its small head is unlike the pit viper's, and of course it lacks rattles. They are common in the Mojave.
