I think your video is very good from a general sales standpoint. Ive been in the industry for 32 years, have shot over 2000 weddings personally. In the absence of value, consumers default to price. Unfortunately, photography has shifted in the consumers eyes from a art/service to a commodity which in their eyes is easily comparable. yes there is a difference in photo styles/personalities however many an opportunity never gets past a general search based on price. Cruel but true.

As someone who works in the event industry I can tell you that your comment about wedding photographers simply showing up and clicking a button at a wedding couldn’t be further from the truth. There are hundreds of hours that go into the editing, prepping submissions to publications, meetings with couples, networking, establishing and maintaining a brand. Not to mention the stress involved in capturing one of the most important days of someone’s life flawlessly.

- Really? I might be hearing this wrong but it sounds like wedding photography is showing up and clicking a button. Too funny.

It’s not hard work for those who are just showing up at weddings clicking a button. That’s the sad truth.
